Bēkăh Interiors and Design is inspired by the saying ‘Nothing is impossible, the impossible just takes a bit longer’ (Dan Brown). With that in mind, every project is approached with a fresh perspective to push the limits of design and construction, and to push your own limits of what you envision, to create a space that is truly a reflection of you.
My mission is to bring ease to what can be an already stressful process— no matter how big or small the project. My experience of working with the trades on numerous projects ranging from new construction homes, extensive rehabs, and renovations brings a more in-depth level of knowledge for problem solving and anticipating needs and next steps and an ability to custom tailor your home to you.
I believe that function and beauty don’t need to be a compromise, but can both be incorporated into the overall design. I look forward to the opportunity and challenge of bringing your design vision to life.
Preservation Project
We found our own little “gem of the valley” nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires. Our home is the proverbial ‘diamond in the rough’ and was vacant for several years before we purchased it. It was in rough condition to say the least, and still is, but is finally a work in progress bringing the vision we had for it to life.
The original cape portion of the house was estimated by the Chester Historical Society to be built around 1769, with additions thought to have been added in the late 1800’s and after. Over the years, previous owners had their own vision and made many changes and now it is our turn. Our goal is to honor the history of the home and restore it while making the best use of the space for modern living⏤because it is no longer the pre-Columbian era. Join us in our journey as we discover and revive this piece of history.
Featured Project
Our upcoming project is a new construction home in Chester, Massachusetts. A peaceful wooded retreat, with all the necessary amenities, taking full advantage of the rural, small town vibes, but located between Pittsfield, Westfield and Northampton for convenience and other great Berkshire attractions only a short trip away.
